Max Roderick has written a 12 page essay about his father. It answers a lot of the questions that recur here and elsewhere, and much more besides. It will be published in the next issue of Dagger, which is planned for release in the first quarter of 2019. Max has agreed that six months after publication it will be freely available to view on this website. If you’re a fan of Rick, you’ll probably want to secure a copy of the magazine. I bought a print copy of last issue just because it looks great.

Note from Max: I can verify, with some bias, that the last issue was gorgeous, with so many talented artists. Unfortunately it has sold out. The second issue (featuring the Rick essay) is in its final stages, but there’s still a chance production will fall through due to issues with our publisher. Either when that happens or when we’re ready to sell, I’ll be back with an update. In the meantime there’s plenty to read on our website, and I’ve just put up a sample of my poetry on a new site if you’re interested. Everyone at Dagger would like to extend our personal thanks to the site admin for creating this website and to all of you still exploring Rick’s work, it means more to us than you could possibly know.
